Q: When should I register ?
A: Whenever you want. The trial program is not time-limited. Register only
if you want to remove the 24 pictures limitation of your trial program.
Q: How much does it cost ?
A: The cost of registration is $25.00 USD for a single user.
Q: What credit cards do you accept ?
A: We currently accept Visa, Mastercard/Eurocard, American Express and Diner's
Club.
Q: How secure is your server ?
A: All credit card data are transmitted using the secure (encrypted) HTTP
protocol according to the current SSL standard. If you still do not want
to transmit your encrypted credit card number over our secure server connection,
you can also send us a fax or call us:

Q: What is the difference between the trial version and
the registered version ?
A: With the trial version, slide trays capacity is limited to 24 pictures.
This means that you won't be able to make slide shows holding more than 24
pictures each. If you want to make larger slide shows, you'll have to split
them into several slide trays. The trial program has no time limitation however:
it won't stop working after 30 days.
Q: After I register, how do I get the full program
?
A: If you have downloaded the trial version, then you already have the full
program on your computer. Once you enter the registration key, the trial
version becomes a fully registered program.
Q: Can I get a CD-ROM and a manual ?
A: No. All our software products are downloaded from the Internet. We do
not have any retail versions that can be shipped to you on floppy disk or
CDROM. A printed manual is not available.
Q: Where can I download the program from ?
A: You download the latest version of Aliu's Magic Lantern at
http://www.aliu.com/aml/download.html.
Q: How do I get the registration key ?
A: First you have to register and pay the registration fee of $25 USD. You
can do that online (with or without a credit card), by phone, fax or mail.
After that you will receive the registration key by e-mail.
Q: How fast do I get the registration key ?
A: If you register online, you will usually receive your registration
key within 24 hours, but in some cases it may be as long as 48 hours
depending on when you ordered and what timezone you live in. No orders
are processed on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
If you have registered online and did not receive your key after
48 hours, there may be a problem with your e-mail address. Send a message
to aml-sales@aliu.com with
your full name and an alternate e-mail address, if possible.
Q: Can I receive my registration key on the phone ?
A: No. The phone operators can only receive your registration and credit
card information. They cannot produce a key on the spot. You must have an
e-mail address to order any of our products.
Q: Is there a way to get a fully registered program immediately
?
A: No. Download the trial program, install it, then go online and register
at http://www.aliu.com/aml/register.html.
Q: Where do I enter the registration key ?
A: Start the workbench program, and select "Help/Program registration..."
from the main menu.
Q: When I enter the registration key I get a message "Invalid
registration information"
A: You mistyped you name or your registration key. You must enter them exactly
as they appear in the original registration e-mail message you received from
us.
The safest way to enter the key is to use copy from our e-mail message
to the clipboard, and paste from the clipboard to the name, company
and key fields in the Program Registration dialog box.
Do not include any leading or trailing spaces with the text. If our message
does not mention any company name, make sure that the company field is empty
(no spaces) in the dialog box.
Q: How can I backup my registration key ?
A: You should save your registration key in a safe place, in case of disk
crash or hardware upgrade. You can either save the e-mail message which contains
the key on a floppy disk, or print this message and store it for later reference.
Q: How do I get program upgrades ?
A: If a newer version of Aliu's Magic Lantern is available, download and
install the trial version of the program. Your registration information will
still be valid with the newly downloaded program.
Warning: DO NOT UNINSTALL Aliu's Magic Lantern because if you
do so, your registration information will be deleted and you'll have to enter
it again.
