Preview window

This window displays the contents of a given directory. The upper part shows the parent directory, and additional subdirectories, if any. Drag the horizontal border to resize this list. The middle part lists all the media files (image, sound, music files) and their modification dates. The selected selected picture or sound file is highlighted (here: "dsc00003.jpg"). Click on the columns headers to sort the list accordingly. Move the horizontal scroll bar to see more columns. Drag the horizontal border to resize this list. The lower part displays a small preview picture of the selected picture file. For sound or music files, there is a "Play" button instead. Double-click the picture to display it full screen. Drag the preview window's borders or to resize the preview picture.

You can open several preview windows at any given time.

There are several ways to put pictures and sound clips into the slide tray:

Drag and drop a single file

• click on the preview picture or on its file name
• drag it with the mouse over the slide tray window
• drop it into an empty frame (there is always an empty frame at the end of the slide tray. Pictures can also be inserted in the middle of the show with the "insert frame" command).

Cut and paste a single file

• click on the preview picture or on its file name
• select the "Copy" command from the Edit menu (or click the toolbar's "Copy" button)
• click on the empty frame of the slide tray window
• select the "Paste" command from the Edit menu (or click the toolbar's "Paste" button).

How to insert several files at a time

Using drag/drop:

• holding the <Ctrl> key down, click on the file names you wish to select, then release the <Ctrl> key
• drag them with the mouse over the slide tray window
• drop them into an empty frame

  Using the "Insert all" dialog:

• click on the target frame in the slide tray window
• in the preview window, click on the file name of the first file to be inserted
• select the "Insert all" command from the Edit menu (or from the popup menu after clicking on the file name with the right button of the mouse)

How to insert whole folders at a time

• click on the target frame in the slide tray window
• select the "Open image/sound directory" command from the File menu
• browse into the folder which contains the files to be inserted, and click the "Insert" button.
  If you check the "Insert subfolders" option, the contents of the subfolders will be inserted too.

Dragging a file from the preview window and dropping it into the slide tray may insert the file into a new frame, or may overwrite the target frame's picture/sound clip, depending on settings "Dropping slide action from slide tray" in the Preferences dialog box, "Workbench" tab.

Double-click the picture to display it full screen.

There is a pop-up menu available in full-screen mode:  click anywhere on the screen with the mouse's right button to open it.
It contains these options:

• Next slide
• Previous slide
• Automatic (starts the show without performing the transitions effects)
• Show file name
• Fit to screen
